Review of NYC pencil eyeliner sticks!

I figured I would start off with something simple, and one that I use often.

I wear a LOT of eyeliner! You would be surprised how fast I go through a stick of this stuff!

NYC is a great liner for beginners or if you need something for just everyday. They are cheap, and very easy to find! I get mine at Walmart for $.98 per stick. 

NYC is good for colored eyeliner too! I have tried black, blue, green, purple and white. they also have a brown that I have not tried yet. 

Application-

The texture of this liner is not as creamy as you would like if you are used to liners from brands like Mac. But It goes on thick, although the black comes on more of a dark grey, I have found a solution to this problem and also some smearing that I have seen on my lower lash line mentioned below.

Colors-

Black- Goes on thick, but as I said, isn't as dark as advertised. However, I use the black from the NYC black and white eye shadow duo and set it, which darkens it and keeps it in place very well! 

My only real complaints are that I cannot get it to stay on my waterline. In just a few hours (or even 15 minutes) it will be gone! Also, once you have used up the stick you have an extra 2-3 inches of empty wood! Here is a picture of one that I finished yesterday.

White- This applies the same as the black, but the color is not dulled at all! It's fantastic for costume or theatrical makeup, but again, it will not stay on my waterline (which is where I prefer it to stay). I do, however use this as a lip liner and it works wonderfully!

Blue- The Blue (along with the rest of the colors) applies the same as all the others. But the color on this is a gorgeous navy blue!

Green- This is a beautiful emerald green!

Purple- Appears in a lovely violet color.

Brown- I have not tried this, but looks like a chocolate brown.

All of these liners, save the black, have a slight shimmer to them.

Hello bloggers!

I would assume you do not know anything about me. 

I am and aspiring cosmetologist. Yes, I'm still in high-school, making plans for my future. I figured that in my spare time I could write a blog! I plan on doing reviews mostly. But I also have a YouTube channel which I haven't decided what to do with yet. I'm leaning towards tutorials, but I would need some better equipment for that.
